injectors and hx35

im currently running a set of rv275's and was considering bumping them up to a set of F1 150hp injectors instead of buyin a Quad ADR, questions is....am i gonna smoke like a freight train and have egt issues or will it be fairly controllable with my hx35. I figured i would be fine but the guys at NADP tell me im gonna be rollin coal uncontollably with 150hp sticks!??

Probably gonna get a little warm with the injectors but a boost elbow that'll let you raise your boost to 33-35 psi will help.
Low rpm smoke will be pretty bad at WOT/control it with yer foot and rear view mirrors.

With some yes.... but the F-1, Mach 4's are not like that. They smoke less than any 150hp injectors on the market.
You do have to be careful accelerating w/o downshifting. And you can blacken out an intersection any time you want to.
But they are fairly easy to control with a bit of re-education.
By that I mean you need to start shifting a bit later than you probably do now.
And that's a good think, IMO. Most guys shift to soon anyway.

Mach 4's are excellent injectors and I would not be afraid to run them.
Your HX-35 will handle them ok. Boost elbow and Boost fooler will help...as mentioned.
Your only EGT issues will be at sustained WOT.... or heavy towing.

My mach 1.6 will push my hx 35 past its limit I can hi 42PSI on a long grade towing I think mach 4 would work as a play truck but you would need to keep an eye on EGTs

I don't know if this will help but...A few years back I owned a 2000 2500 2wd reg cab 5sp. I was running Mach 2.5's and a Catcher with 4" straight pipe, lift pump relocation, and an AFE intake with the stock HX35. That sucker ran HOT! About 38psi of hot boost and 1300 deg pre-turbo running it empty. Playing with it you could see 1400 deg pretty fast. Man that was a fun truck! Pretty darn quick for what it was...

For 99% of the time, your smoke and EGT's will be completely controllable. WOT will obviously produce smoke and heat, but thats the case regardless of what setup you have. I ran 140hp injectors in my 12v with the HX35 and it was a real fun truck, real responsive.

Your experience may vary but if you tow heavy the HX35 won't cut it. Even with my baby RV275's I have to watch it and get out of the pedal going over the mountains in the summer. I Have the power to pull harder just the EGT's get out of hand.
