Injectors

Thinking of getting a Set of 370 Marine injectors for my truck.
They were built by Piers Diesel and we just tested for cracks and they flow good.
What are the positives and Negitives for these injectors what is a good setup for them.
I still have the stock turbo on my truck am i going to need something larger?

Any input would be helpful,
Thanks

I have read that Marines don't have the optimal spray pattern for the truck engines, whose RPM vary a lot.

dont even put those in unless u have gauges.. more fuel means more heat if u cant monitor the heat u risk the chance of hurting something.

Marine 370s are not the best injector,, they tend to haze at idle, and like stated are not the correct spray pattern,,, i would sujjest spending a lil more and getting something with the correct spray,, my DDPs are great,, but prob not enough power for you, they make them with more HP to, but cost more,

To me I would spend more and get a good injector.

I would have went bigger but Ross didnt recommend anything more than the stage2's I bought cause I tow heavy alot

Advantages of 370 injector?
Inexpensive and reliable injector. Good power upgrade. With a larger bowl piston they run very nice.

Disadvantages?
Others already posted as haze (both idle and even lower rpm) and spray pattern. If you keep the timing advance down the spray pattern is OK (not great, just OK). I think they are excessively smoky with stock pistons.

Which year truck (engine & pump) do you run? The 94 & 95 pumps usually need delivery valves to work well with any larger injector than a 215.

Better way is to find someone that has a 96-98 manual transmission ans is upgrading their DV to insanity levels. They are 181's which are really nice and support a lot of fuel/injector. Free as you take the 181s and give them your 161s to return as cores

HE431VT is a variable geometry turbine housing found on the ISL-07 engines. Nice converstion piece for your desk. I don't know of anyone that has come up with the electronics to control one.
