injector pumps...again

i have been trying to figure out if a person puts an aggressive box, say a Quad Adrenaline with an hrvp-44, are you in fact gonna get significant more horespower than if you just used a regular sovp-44 and Adrenaline box? seems to be conflicting reports, anyone have hands on experience? your knowledge an opinions would be greatly appreciated

I've ran my Edge Juice with both an SO and a HRVP. With the Edge, I don't really feel any difference in power between the two. I've never dyno'd with either setup. Without the Edge turned on though, I could tell a difference when I put the HRVP in. I would suggest sticking with a SO pump. After running both, I don't think the HRVP is worthwhile unless you are running without a box and just want a little extra power. About the same as putting in RV275's I'd imagine.

Good call IMO.
Or you could also put the saved money towards some injectors.
IMO injectos before stacking chips would be a safer/better way to go.

Depends on how big that your sticks are. The HRVP helps with the bigger sticks. The SOVP seems to run funny after a hard wot pull using a drag box and sticks over the 250HP size. Anything sticks less than 200HP size, its a waste of money. I think its to the fact that the SOVP doesn't have the volume capacity of the HRVP. The HRVP seems to have abit more responsive throttle with the bigger sticks as well.

It also depends on which shop builds the HRVP pump. Some shops do better than others.

When I still had a VP I tested alot of boxes and both pumps. Peak power with the boxes was the same. What you will notice though is you will gain more with an SO horsepower wise going from no box to full tilt. My HOT juice netted me around 100 or so HP with the SO pump where the HRVP was only 40 something hp. I would have to dig through dyno sheets but I think the curve on the HRVP may have been a hair higher in the RPM's
