scene you guys got me going in the direction on witch pump to get, i got anther ? my truck code told us that i had an internal elec. failure is there anything i need to fix before i put the new pump on so this doesn't happen again or is that just a prob. with this kind of a pump?

 

I have no idea but that sounds bad, I would hope that it is referring to the Internal computer on the vp which will be a new one on the new vp as it stays with the vp's

 

I would suggest a lift pump upgrade. It won't prevent electronic failures, but will help prevent mechanical failures.
