Re:Info on a 33x12.50x16 LOAD RANGE "E"???

I'm with quantrill88, I'm running the 33x13.50 Swamper Trxus, except in the STS series. They are the worst wearing tire I have ever owned, but they do look mean (see my pic gallery,Here , for a recent photo). I've got about 10,000 miles on them, they will be bald by 15,000. At least I'll have a good set of pulling tires by summer though ;D
I'm thinking I'll go with the Nitto's, I read somewhere on here they have an excellent treadwear rating.

Re:Info on a 33x12.50x16 LOAD RANGE "E"???

Ok here goes an attempt at an explanation:

There is an official guide that all tire manufactures are suppose to use to design tires. For FLOATATION sizes, (31,32,33,etc) that official guide is "The Tire and Rim Association INC" Now according to this book, 2002 copy, these are the sizes listed as floatation in '33':
33x10.50R15LT load range c
33x12.50R15LT load range c
33x12.50R17LT load range c or d (105 = c; 114 = d)

There is no 16 in size listed. Now if some of you have seen a 33x12.50R16 then there is no design data to support it. Not saying it doesn't exist, just saying there is no standard for design. There are however a lot of import tires out there, so I guess you could take your chances.

No flame intended, just providing info on something I know a little about.

Oh Yeah, check www.tirerack.com they have about every size and manufacturer know and even they don't list a 33x12.50R16.

Tim
