how do the industrial injection twins (PS62 over K31) compare to a similar size S300/S400 setup? are the II twins based off these turbos or are they diff. turbos all together? id like to know in terms of spool up and effiecency in towing heavy. send me a PM if you own the setup id love to talk.

 

We just recently put a K31 in place of a S400 under a HTT 64/71-13. Spool up is night and day.

The K31 lights the twins much faster. You do give up some top end, but for daily driving, it's a great setup.

The S400 and the K31 are not the same. The compressor and turbine sections are completely different. Basically, the K31 is smaller. But it is wastegated so you can set the boost where you want it.

Still dialing it in with the drive pressures. But definitely gives up some power on top. His truck drives closer to stock than it has since the HX35 fell off.
