important blue pump queustion

i have a question i ordered a blue pump they it has a pressure pre set at 14 psi can you raise it and how do you adjust the spring in the pump everybody is always talking about streching the spring wear is the spring located.

on the side of the pump towards bottom is a screw you can stretch the spring or moroso sells a new spring kit to up it

Don't play with it. I'm running just the factory spring in mine and have 15 at idle and 11 at WOT with 400hp. Upping the pressure is only going to put undue stress on the pump and your not going to gain anything from it.

Better thing to do is to put a small washer behind the spring to shim it instead. Just remember that your not gonna gain anything but a higher number.

Mine idles at 15 and has been for two years. Idle pressure is not what you need to worry about. It's cruising and WOT that you need to worry about. The VP44 can idle with almost zero pressure forever.

i know wot is more important i have a big fuel line kit but if it idles at 17 to 18 psi at wot it will probally drop to about 14 or 15

I've got the blue with regulator turned up, no stretched spring just right out of he box pushing 21 idle and 16 WOT
