Identifying bigger injectors

Hey, I am looking into buying a 97' CTD 4x4 w/ 180,000 off my brother-in-law. He's had the truck for sometime and before he bought it, it was taken up to Daves Diesel in Muncie, Indiana. He doesn't know what they did to it, but they have done something to it because it's fast as hell. He thinks they just turned up the P and maybe bigger injectors. How can I tell if they are bigger injectors or not? Thanks!

Matt

It's pretty hard to tell bigger injectors. Maybe pull his out and look at a set of stock ones and see if the holes are bigger. Doubt you'd see the difference. Why don't you call up dave's diesel and ask them what they did.

What do I do? Just give them the VIN? Do most shops store the VIN's of the trucks they service?

Doubtful. If your bro-in law still has the receipt either it might tell ya or just tell the shop your bro-in law's name and they could probably look it up.
