How does that look. Are the tires stuffed or do they have some clearance?

I have the 2.5 inch

skyjacker lift... I have 385s in my photo gallery, which are about 33" inches.. Please feel free to comment I have messed around and stuffed 315's under there and they clear ok and just barely make the steering... I figure that 315s are about 35's, yet i didnt like them.. i like 285 or 305 at largest for that lift..

Tx

Take a look at my photos. I've got a skyjacker 4.5" lift with 35's on 16x10 wheels and they clear with ease. I'm thinking about putting bigger tires on it when it's time. Not sure though. I love it. Perfect height, great stance, rides great, drives great. Only complaint I have with it is that the track bar bracket keeps coming loose on me. You need to get it welded instead of just bolting it on. Also check out phox mulder's photos and cowhand's photos. phox is running the same lift I am and cowhand is running a custom 5.5" lift with 37's.

Big Blue it doesnt look like you have longer control arms or do you?

I put a leveling kit on and the 35 and they clear with just enough room, but if i put dt pro fsb long arms on i can go biger with no doubts because theres tons of room if i moved my axle forward. I might not look to good wit bigger than 35s but it would fit.

This is what my set up cost...(roughly)
DT Arms ~$425
CSS Coils- $300
Thuren track bar-$270
Cross over steering-$370
King 2.5 shocks- $1300
Shock towers-$160
Rear add-a-leaf-$50
Drop pitman arm- $70

Total $2990

Obviously you don't have to spend the money for King shocks, shock towers and cross over steering. You can do a lot cheaper with an off the shelf kit like a Skyjacker or BDS. DT makes some really nice replacement control arms that are a little cheaper than the long arms. 4" CSS coils are around $200.

For a basic 4" lift (that'll clear 35's) you'll need:

Control arms
Coils
Track bar or drop bracket
Drop pitman arm
Add-a-leafs
Shocks

You'll also have to relocate the brake lines on top of the control arms.

PM me if you want particulars....

Conrad

Check my gallery for photos of just the Skyjacker D25s with 315s. Rear is stock. I did put on longer shocks, but I"m not sure it's absolutely necessary. The tires rub the lower trailing arm at full lock in either direction, but I'm not sure that an AT-type tire would.

They are actually shorter if I remember correctly when I compared them to the factory ones. One way or another, they work great. No rubbing problems even at full compression and lock.

Here is a pic of my truck with Skyjacker 2.5" springs and 315/75/16's (35x12.50x16's)
Any rims with MORE than 4.5" of backspacing i.e. stockers which are too narrow for 315's anyways, or like the '01 wheels on my truck will rub the control arms horribly and you will loose turning radius that makes tight space manuevering a PITA

The Skyjacker control arms for the 4.5" lift are 1/2" longer per Skyjacker tech support. Those are the non-adjustable poly bushing units. They also have arms with heim joints on one or two ends (adjustable length, but transmit a lot of road noise/vibration to truck). I have 17x8 wheels with 4.675 backspacing and 37" BFG. I don't off-road and I've never rubbed.
Here's some pics:
