I ordered BD XXX Pulse Inj Tips, Thoughts?

Well I ordered the tips today, I should get them mid week . I will have to take them to a shop to have them installed , I wish we had the adapters to pop test them where i work as i would do them myself. Anyone have any guesses where i should be at HP wise? Has anyone ordered these , 110/130 tips are what i got.

I will not guess a 'HP' number one here (allthough I have an extremely good idea where you will be), because there are so many different numbers thrown out on here from different 'dynos' and wives tales etc etc etc that I care not to hear it all......

But you will have a similar combo to me, prorably about 50 HP less than mine. I ran a 15.21 at 91 and have a very quick feeling truck that pulls like a raped ape too.

You will be all

I hope i like them, i plan on putting a 35/40 hybrid on this spring. I ordered what i feel is big so i can do this once and grow into them. I usually end up having to buy twice, i hope i am on the money this time. How are your egt's with that setup?

I went with the 110 xxx nozzels, they are great. Threw them in my self, no pop test needed. Is your truck an HO? When I put the Edge comp on I was pretty inpressed, but the injectors made a bigger step up. I run the comp on 1x2. With the comp turned off, my motor doesn't respond very well (too much fuel, and not enough injector advance, I guess).

As I don't tow, I really wish I would have gone to the 155hp injectors, but 9 out of ten people on this board said no way! And I made the mistake of listening.

You'll be like me now, running out of turbo and injection pump with the box turned up. I don't notice much power improvement going from 1x2 to 5x5, by the way. A little more smoke, and about 3 psi more boost.

My EGT's are totally and completely controlable. When I tow, I can leave the TST completly off, and I can floorboard the go pedal for as long as I like and I CANT hit 1,300F. The EZ actually helps this condition. The advance lowers EGT's nicely. With the TST on 4 or more, I can get a little warm, but for blasting around messing with ricers and running the 1/4 at the track, you are never in it long enough to hurt anything... When I ran the 15.21 at the track I was on setting 9 and had the high temp defuel turned off... It only hit about 1,500.

Low C, I was the one out of 10 who told you to do it !!!!

There are a lot of EGT ***** on here.... They think the way to control EGT is to wimp out on injectors, that way when its 110F outside you can still keep your foot to the floor in 6th up a 10% grade at 50 MPH forever and not have to look at the EGT....

I say, put the big sticks in first, and DRIVE THE FRICKIN TRUCK... Thats why you have a right foot, and why you have a EGT gauge... Use em, dont skimp on injector size !!!! You will be amazed how much fuel you can push on a cold winter day and not even aproach high EGT's... So with the EGT ***** way, you dont get to play with all that fuel and go like crazy in cooler weather...

I could go on and on and on.... But nobody really listens

You will love your new injectors Steve, trust me.

i got the 130hpxxx from bd,they are great,i got the full injector instead of the nozzle, the service with bd was awsome and the injectors are great,i tried a set of 90hp and wasnt happy so i got the 130s,they dont smoke much with the comp off but with the comp on 3-5 or 5-5 look out.you will be happy, they rock.

I run the 155's and as long as the comp is on 1x1 or 2x2 being the mad ecm has no timing in mine, I can pull my 5th wheel loaded up good grades in the mountains with no issues, if I use my head, I am not sure what my 5th wheel weighs loaded up I always forget to turn off at the one closest to my house or the scale is to busy to stop and check. Heavy enough though it is a 28' unit.I say go big also
