i need some input on mods

I bought my 02 2500 back in the end of janurary and all i have done to it so far is making it straight piped and no silencer ring. I'm looking to put some power to it now. I don't want to put alot to it but i'd like more than the 235 hp/ 460 tq that it has in stock form. I was think of 275 injectors, an EZ and some kind of intake. I'd like to know what you all think of these mods and what kind of expierence you've had with them. i'd like to keep my truck fairly stock still, i don't want to have to put a DTT or some other kind of tranny in it. i wanna stay around 300 hp, a little over and a little under is ok. I'm also looking for new tires too, it has the original LTX's on it and my truck has almost 50,000 miles on it. I want to get either a 285/75/16 or a 305/70/16, i'd be putting these on the stock alum alloy wheels. Whats a decent tire in any of these sizes? And thanks for any replies and suggestions.
Matt

That's on an '02 6-speed 4x4.

If your tranny is different, (auto), then I would very highly suggest a Low Stall converter and a modified Valve body.

Cooler tranny temps, and more MPG. No longer will your motor scream, and maintain 2,500RPM as it works it's way through 1st 2nd and 3rd gears. The motor will actually rev up and down as it works it's way through the gears.

A good setup will run you about $1,200 for a converter and about $600 for a valve body. you could get away with just a "shift kit" but your converter sucks, with extra power, or without.

Even a stock truck should be upgraded with a "tight" or low stall converter.

As far as tire size, anything over 285 will start to kill your fuel mileage. I have 305's on mine and average 14 around town and 17 on highway. That is with no mods other than 4" exhaust and BHAF.

I put an ez on about 15k and then 275's on at about 70k. The trans was rebuilt at 110k by DTT. The trans was not bad and did not need a rebuild yet. Wanted to do it as I was going to start pulling a heavier trailer and didnt want the stock trans to crap out on me in the middle of nowhere. So my stock trans was doing fairly well. However many have complained that much more than an ez may cause slippage of the torque converter. I dynoed right at 300hp with that combo. I also had an afe intake and 4 inch exhaust at the time of the dyno.

Cant help with that tire size as I am still running 265's. I have used the Bridgestone dueler REVO's for my last two sets and they have been great tires except in the mud. I got 60k out of the first set and this set is looking to go that far too. They have been some of the best tires I have ever used and are excellent in all conditions except mud.

Ditto, and I agree. I have the Revo's on my 1500 4WD gasser and they are great. They rate very high on Tire Racks rating scale too. I will be putting them on my 2500 when the Uniroyal Laredo's wear out, though they have been good so far as well, very quiet.

I'm seeing 20.3 MPG right now with my 35s. I usually get 17-18 around town.
