Thought you would have left for Va. already...to make sure you didn't miss your appointment. You know...in case the roads were bad!
You hanging around...to see what you can learn, or going back to pick it up?

I need to call Tim and make sure we're still a go, but plans are leave EARLY Friday morning, get there afternoon, teardown! Built tranny and reassemble Saturday, and head for home!

Making a big weekend out of I guess...which works GREAT for me. No waiting for it to be done, and I get to see what's going in!

Curious why you say that? Never heard that before. You talking Comp or just PM3.... or both?
I've dynoed my Comp on #5 and #9. #9 was always higher? Never tried 6 or 7.

I got very lucky. Part of the external wastegate flange had broken off and lodged itself in the housing. Luckily the housing was small enough and the piece big enough that it caught it and it never made it to the shaft of the impeller.

Your telling me. We pulled it off and my buddy shook it and it sounded like roofing nails. You talk about one lucky SOB. Who knows what would have happened had it made it through. On the upside just think of how much harder spooling this thing would be without a chunk of steel blocking the exhaust. All I can say is thank god for tight housings.

BB, you know you just started an epidemic. This one time occurrence will turn in to it happening to 20 people and no one should ever use a ex WG.

Glad to see it didn't damage anything.

I've heard from a lot of people that they make more hp in the mid levels than the upper with the comp. if they're running bigger sticks.

Even on my truck I don't notice any power difference between 5 and 9. Just more heat.

dieselfan with bd155's and a smarty I can hit 1150* at 40psi of boost at 115mph. I'm running a scotty 2 air intake with the hole cut (old school I know but very effective) and 4" straight pipe to 5" stacks. That combo there did right at 400hp.

Yup. Couldn't peg the pyro without the tst's help with the KSB-1 neither.
