HY to HX35 turbo swap

I am contemplating a swap from my HY35 to an HX35, and had a couple of questions.

1. What kind of a difference would I get from the HX vs. the HY with a stock auto?

2. Would the stock auto be able to handle an HX35?

No problem with you truck handaling the HX.I bought a HX from a 2000 and that was the stock tubo..On the HX you will get a little higher boost and will not choke as quick as the HY...at higher RPM.

On my 01 I went from the HY to the HX cause I had a superchip and beating on it would get about 18-19lbs from the HY. Going to the HX with a boost elbow put me at 27-28lbs. Truck felt better at mid and high(er) rpms. Its a great upgrade if you plan on adding some more fuel later on. But When I went with a TST chip and jammer 3s, the HX would 49lbs and peg 1600 degrees before I hit 100mph...

Oh, but after the HX and superchip and me driving the living hell out of it.... The stock tranny went south. But almost every stock tranny will go south, some just get there sooner. So I did the whole Suncoast thing and its one of the best upgrades you can do!
