Htb2-64

I was sitting here at the computer and I heard the doorbell ring, and what to my wonderful eyes should apear but a UPS man with a TURBO in hand Sorry about the Christmas thing but I had to do it. I have a HTB2-62 on my truck now but I'd like to get it alittle cooler so I now have a HTB2-64 (killer B-2) in my livingroom. Its too late to put it on tonight but it will go on tomorrow afternoon for sure

I can't say enough good things about High Tech Turbo, They are great people who go out of their way to help you If you ever have a question about turbos just give them a call.

I have nothing to do with HTT, I'm just a very happy customer and will be for life!!!!!!!!

I donated too...but it's time to do it again!

Glad to see someone else bgt themselves an X-mass present...I feel less giulty about my external wastegate...due this week.

Could you give us EGT comparisons, before & after? WOT and maybe holding at 30 psi boost? How's spoolup?

The spool-up on the HTB2-62 is better then the stock 35 I took off I'm not joking it is alot better, it pumps out 44lbs in a blink of an eye. The temps seemed a little high when I put the turbo on. 650-4lbs-60mph-1700RPM-OD on
450-4lbs-50MPH-2100RPM-OD off, this doesn't make any sense to me I will do the same after I put the 64 on.

Its going to be hard for me to do a 30psi run because I would be going too fast. Temps climb fairly quick at WOT, but not as fast as the stock 35.

I would not worry about the egt's at cruise. Personally I prefer higher (within reason). Engine runs better...better combustion...especially with your big DD's. I average 750* at 70 mph empty.
Agree can't hold 30 psi for long but should be able to get a stable EGT reading. Someone else turned me on to this and I find it a fun way (only way) to compare turbos on different set ups. I went from 1075* with a KSB1-2 to 1000* with my KSB1. It should be a great indicator of differences in your two different housings.

Is the converter all you have done with the tranny? Enjoy the new toy!

What is the fun way(the only way) to compare turbos? Tell me more and I'll try it.

I was refering to measuring EGT's while holding 30 PSI boost. Kind of a usable comparison of different turbos when trucks are different Generations or have very different set ups. Whereas, EGT's at WOT says more about your bombs than your turbo, IMO.

I haven't tried to hold it at 30lbs but I can try, now that isn't WOT for my turbo because it does 44lbs no problem. Sorry but the answer to the tranny question is the tranny has a rebuild about 40,000 miles ago by a local shop before I bought the truck. They must have done something good(right) to it because its working great with no problems. Is there a piece of wood around for me to knock on
