Well, I guess I must have been right. Has anybody ordered that particular filter from fleetfilter.com? Which manufacturer makes the filter, and is it just as good as the fleetguard, NAPA, WIX, etc. filters? The price just seems too good to be true.

Over 30k on mine now, and it looks pretty good. A little darker looking than new, but that's expected. I wash the Outerwears off with a light hose spray when I think of it....off the filter of course

i just ordered mine from fleetfilter.com. im working the hurricane in miss. and didn't bring the cleaning solution and don't have the time to clean my afe pg7 so i bought a bhaf. took two days to get it here and i bought two of'm. one for me and one for my partner. went to napa to get one that day and they wanted 65 bucks. yea go smoke some more crack!!! I don't think it flows as much as my AFE but still a good filter. I get a little more smoke with the BHAF. i saw the link and the reviews on the forum.

ANOTHER REASON THIS IS SUCH A GOOD SITE. MORE INFO THAN MOST. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK GUYS!!!

Yeah, I know, old thread. I was tightening up a fuel leak at the injector pump, and I figured I should check my air filter. Yuck! Time for a BHAF.

I don't think anybody confirmed that indeed it is p/n 42790 from fleetfilter.com that is the BHAF we need.

They have on the front page of the fleet filter site:

"2) You can use the 42790 air filter as an aftermarket filter for Dodge's 5.9 diesel."

Thanks. The last time I checked their site was the last time I posted to this thread. September of 2005.

HERE too. However, the last time I checked the fleetfilter.com site, it did not list manufacturer names, so I wasn't sure of exactly what I would be getting if I ordered.

If you want to check how dirty your filter is, take it off and stick a trouble light in it. I never use compressed air to blow them out. I tap it lightly on the garage floor.
