How much is too much....?

well this is prolly a repost but i've searched and came up with nothing that is specific to my situation.... as ya'll can see in my sig... 96 reg cab 3500 auto.... 100 full forward, afc forward, starwheel forward, 3gsk, 4in dp, BHAF....i just got through installing the methanol kit and have windshield washer fluid in there for now.... i have 1 1000ml/min nozzle in it now but will be addinf a 225 as to be around where most guys are with 2 625's... anyway i am seeing about 5 psi increase in boost.... i'm worried that i'm getting borderline for headgasket failure.... i can see 41psi before i activate the methanol and see 46 and would prolly keep climbing if i didn't let out of it.... i have a constant haze of black smoke at WOT and this is with a STOCK hx35... so whatever housing i have came stock on it.... wastegate is disabled.... should i make it work again to control my boost or will that make my egt's uncontrollable as i can see at much as 1500* preturbo (i let off at 1400 most of the time).... please help ma as i see an increase in boost but no decrease in egt's from the methanol..... well let me quit rambling...

Hook the wastegate back up and set it to about 32psi without the W/M. It will run cooler there.

the CURRENT mods i've had for oh.... a couple of months... but i've ran all minus the 3gsk, meth kit, and stacks for over a year..... the tranny has 155k+ on her and is showing signs of gettin ready to go... pulls strong but i bet with a tighter converter and a tranny that is worth a crap it would pull like no tomorrow.... after i did the newest stuff it'll slip 2nd sometimes and when it slips 2nd it'll shift on into 3rd and slip it perty good.... i'm ASSuming it's T/C slippage and not accual clutch slippage in the trans as there is minimal material in the pan when i service it..... which now is every 15k or so as the last 40k have been the worst of her life..... and i'm trying to prolong the inevitable..... i'll lower the boost tomorrow and maybe with the methanol it'll work out for the better..... but trust me from first hand experience... these stock tranny's don't like shifting into 2nd or 3rd@ 41-46 psi @ 3200rpm ........ but when it does shift right and dosen't slip.... OMG

well i backed it back to 35 psi and the egt's don't climb as fast but the motor dosen't pull as hard either.... i can activate the Meth/water and i see a 5 psi increase and the egt's increase just like before @40psi and no meth/water.... and this is with blue ww fluid and a 1000cc/min nozzle..... any other ideas? maybe i need to put in the 225 nozzle too?

Rather have that HX 35 at 35 or less and not blow it up. It is not worth the extra power you are getting when the turbo breaks and takes out other things.

Time to do the tranny and then get a turbo quick cause you are on borrowed time with boost numbers in the mid 40's!!!
