How Much HP Edge Jammer Stg 5
Does anyone have Edge Jammer Stg 5 nozzles, do they really make 150 more hp? Next upgrade is injectors, just trying to decide between edge jammer nozzles or Mach 1.6's, 4's, ??
I have not dynoed with them my self, but they some say their a little light on the HP. With the comp and 5's, it will be too hot with the stock turbo, to stay in it very long at all, and you will look like a freight train going down the road.
I run them, but I've never had my truck on the dyno. I wouldn't be surprised if they aren't quite 150hp. But, in my opinion they are well worth the money even if they are only 130hp or so.

The Mach 4 will give you a solid a solid 150hp.IMO ,this is the finest injector ever made for all around performance on a performance/daily driver/towing truck. I would go bigger than a mach 1.6 unless your only looking for mileage and a small power gain.
Like the others have said.. your not going to get 150 plus the 100-120 from your comp box.. out of the setup with the stock turbo... You might get 200hp from the injectors and a lower setting on the box.. but its probably going to max out about the 420-430hp range.. A bigger turbo, and you should be in the 500hp range...

(Edit: I'd skip the 4's.. everyone that gets them, wishs that they would have just gone with the 5's.. not much difference in cost..)

I dynoed 496 with whats in my sig, and my buddy with the exact same combo but smaller turbo did 465 on the stg 5s, I love em, heck with stg 3s and just a catcher on a stock turbo I did 292/687.
no dout the most hp for the money, but with a stock turbo you won't get nere all the good out of them, it will be hot fast with the comp on. IMO. I've been there, HECK I'm still there, just in a bigger way

I would try to decide how much horsepower you would like to end up with in the future first. Then get the biggest injectors you can run comfortably at that level. The nice thing about having a Comp is you can set it on 1x1 to keep the smoke down and make it very drivable. You don't want to find out later that you wish you had gone with a bigger set. With the stock turbo you going to have keep an eye on the pyro even on the lower levels of the Comp. I would probably disconnect the Comp wire tap to the VP to keep from being tempted of trying a higher setting until you upgrade the turbo. Personally I like my Mach 1.6's but I haven't had it on the dyno since I replaced the injectors and the turbo (at the same time). I hope you find something useful in this. Jeff
