What thickness should the flanges be on the hot pipe on a twins setup, is 3/4 enough? I'm building my own and about to cut the flanges out. Ive seen pictures but can't tell if its 3/4 or 1/2 it may not even matter as long as everything mates up straight.

will do , I'm bidding on a ht3b turbo for my lower one on ebay but keep getting out bid, the flanges and turbo are all I like.

 

most that I have seen are 3/4 for the hx35 and 40

 

1/2" turned out to be too think to comfortably work with. I have worked with both 3/8" (on my t3-t4 adapter) and 1/2" (35/40/s400 twins). IMHO, the 3/8" will do fine without warping and is easier to use.

I used 1/2 on mine but cant see why 3/8 would not work. Used a big stationary belt sander to make sure the flange was strate and flat.
