I just got a 99 3500 4x4 flatbed with a 5spd and i would like about 500-550 usable horsepower out of it. I was thinking about Mach 4s, MAD catcher ecm, and a Blue Chip redline fueling box but what turbo or combination of turbos would i need and i do pull about 15000lbs

 

You pull 15000 lbs with that kind of power and your going to shred your truck. 300h.p. and 750 tq would more than adequately pull that load, or is the 15K just an occational thing and your just wanting a hot rod truck?

 

Yeah i just tow occasionally and usually on level groung usually nou more than 40 miles round trip

 

Theres a lot more to reaching 550 hp than getting a box, injectors, a inch or better yet 5 inch exhaust, Scotty or AFE Stage 2, o-ringed head, maybe some cam work

Going much past 400 hp get expensive real fast.

 

It's alot easier to go past 400hp on a Duramax. Cheaper too probably.
