I have a 2001 dodge cummins and I am looking at air intakes sys. any preferences?

 

An air intake/filter system will lower Exhaust Gas Temps on a stock or near stock Diesel, but will do little to add Horse Power or Torque unless your stock system is clogged.

 

It has 150 horse injectors and an edge comp box

 

I hope you've got guages on that truck- if not make that your #1 priority.

Afe seems to be about the best thing out for our trucks. Lots of folks use a BHAF (do a search) too.

 

I did the AIRAID system on mine. It came with a HUGE filter and shield that goes in place of the factory box. Cost me $209 to the door.
I did do it AFTER the programmer and exhaust.
Didnt feel any power but MAN DOES THAT TURBO SING!

 

BHAF, AFE, AEM are all very popular. Dry is better!
