the blue as a pusher pump will put you around 25-27 psi. by it's self around 14 I think the black is same presure just more volume. I'm using the blue as a pusher and like it. just my .02

I have the blue mounted by the tank w/o the stock pump. With the stock lines I saw 12 at idle and 9 WOT. With Vulcan fittings and 1/2 line all the way to the IP I see 14 at idle and 11 WOT. You can stretch the regulator spring and get more pressure, but the black pump is more suited to that. The motor in the black pump has more windings. You may look into the procomp version. When my blue dies I will be getting a procomp black and tweaking the spring. Moroso also makes a new spring for higher pressure on these holley type pumps.

you really can set the holley pumps to whatever pressure you want. I was running a blue by itself thru stock lines and filter, at around 20 PSI idle. Now I am running a black pushing through a JD AR86745 filter, which filters finer than the stock cummins filter, and I am getting 16 at idle and 10 WOT.

I am running a stand alone Holley blue on the frame. I also have the Vulcan fuel lines. I stretched the spring when I installed the pump and I've been getting about 16 @ idle and 13 @ WOT for about 6 months.

I have the vulcan 1/2" lines and the stock LP on the frame, and Im seeing 14psi at idle, but I want to see more, I would like 25psi and idle and about 21-22psi at WOT, what pump should I use. Is wanting that much pressure overkill? Should I just put in a holley blue and tweak the spring.

Im taking my truck to Diesel Injection Service in about 30 minutes for its first new VP44, just wanting to save the next one.

Work on increasing the flow, not the psi. IMHO 20 is not needed.
