When we were designing the kit we have we looked at using those pumps and holley would not reccomend them for use with the diesel fuel. Carter has the correct seals in it for diesel, that is why we went that way. I do agree that filtration is VERY important.

In my opinion if money is tight then the Holley is your best bang for your buck, or look on ebay, there are Procomp blacks on there for less than fifty bucks. One of my chapter members is running it with no problems.
My Holley lasted over 3 years, that's longer than not very long.

Everyone has a different use for their CTD and opinion on what works best. Figure out what works best for you, your application and your budget and go w/it. That's what's cool about this site. You can take the info from others experiences and apply it to your application w/out going thru all the trial/error and $$$ !!!

I have one and it works well after taking out the flame arrestor screen in the pump, i get around 16-18 psi cruising and 12 at WOT. Now that i know more about the pump i would replace it with something else if and when it wears out...

Holly is an OK choice in a pinch, I ran a holly black on my 99 for a few years and then installed a FASS, the holly black went on to live on an 00 cummins where I assume it is still pumping strong. If I recall you could see a pressure drop at full power, but not to low. mine was installed right in place of the factory pump and worked great, good luck
