You could cut the spring. I'd do one coil at a time.

How is the noise factor with the Holley blue pumps mounted to the frame?

My carter makes a loud growl when you turn the key on which is very loud, but once the engine starts, you can't hear it anymore.

Can you hear/feel the Holley while the engine is running?

Thanks

I can hardly hear my holley when the truck is running and it's mounted on the outside of the frame right underneath the driver's side door.

ya i cant hear mine while the truck is running, but it is wired up to come on when the key is on. So while the grid heaters are cycling, the pump is on. And its quite loud

You know mine is the same, sometimes the truck is hard to start when the grid cycles for a while. Isn't there a wire to tap off of the in tank pump, so the Holley won't turn on until the truck actually starts?

there is a hole in the inner side of the '01 frame around 8 inches aprox.

i put the motor in there, moved the holding bracket to the top of the pump, so now the motor is in the frame, and the pump side sticks out so the fuel lines go by vertically, dont know if i make any sense, but the two holes on the bottom of the frame, just aligned with the holley bracket....

and yeah, my brothers and cousin both complain that its too loud, i can hear it with the window down up to 30 mph

We use this truck for short trips... (on the field) so yeah its noisy (on the frame)!
