First tow with the EZ and 4&quot; exhaust <br><br>Yikes - she runs a little hot though. I have to back out on hills to keep it under 1300. Scotty III is on order, hope that will help cool it down some. Also running boost up to the scary level...the 35 pound gauge is totally burried - looks like it is pushing close to 40 pounds - hope this won't hurt anything ??? <br><br>Then, it was pulling really hard in 4th while I'm coming up to speed after going through a little town (35 mph speed limit) and I'm watching the EGT gauge, all of a sudden it backs off, I look down and see its about 3500 rpm - YIKES :-[ I shift her into 5th and the pulling is back on.....Do you think 3500 is a little fast ? It's certainly well into the redline on the tach. I'm a little worried about spinning it that hard [undecided] Thoughts ?

 

Take a peak at my post on the RamAir III. Might help you, especially since you are hyped up a little. It helped me some and I am running stock. Scotty and Rod say it really helps when you are hyped. I still have not hit a good hill while towing, but feel it should help some. Every bit helps.

 

Thats interesting, with mine on 4 the egts climb faster but have never reached the same high as with no ez. For boost 35 is the highest I have seen. I wouldnt worry about a brief overrev at that RPM. There are people with bombs running it up to that level regularly. Now Im wondering if Im not getting the boost I should or If you are getting more than normal.

 

Yeah, the boost thing is pretty wild. I really didin't expect to see that much. I only got to about 32 pounds with my '97 12 valver...but had a banks plate and turbo-master waste-gate controller. I didn't think an EZ box would bump the boost that much over what I did to my old truck. I wonder if my boost elbow could be plugged or something ???

 

I push 30-35 depending on how I set up my turnbuckle. I have a comp with the pump wire unhooked.
