Question High Capacity PS Pump

Does a high capacity aftermarket Power steering pump make much of a difference on these trucks?
I have 179k on my truck and its hard to steer with my foot on the brake (I'm sure I'll open a can of worms with that said)..

Also, at low speeds it is hard to turn at times as well.

Also, I run 33 inch tires.. So that doesn't help matters much either. My steering is all beefed up to handle it, I just want easier steering now.

Just curious to see if its worth the money if I can get a good deal.

It should......the better aftermarket pumps flow more from idle all the way up....

Call AGR or PSC and ask them. Tom @ PSC is a great guy to deal with, most likely he can tell you exactly what you need to do.

I have a big truck power steering pump on mine with the pressure reduced to Dodge specs. I did have to put a cooler on it because of the volume it pumps. I can spin the wheel with one finger sitting still. Going down the road the response is the same as stock.

You could not use this pump as it bolts on the back of the air compressor, but I wanted to give you the result of a high volume pump.
