1689 No Communication between ECM and IP Module and
1693 Generic Fault indicating a fault in the bus or PCM/ECM interface

Am hoping for something simple want to leave town tomorrow, acted sluggish with no power couple days ago for about 1 minute then ran fine again and has been fine ever since

 

I found 1689 to be common when my ez was bad.

 

When my ECM went this was one of the codes mine popped. There were about 5 others accompanying it though.

 

Unplugged the comp and ran couple hundred miles and not a problem, guess the comp is the problem, now I am thinkin Smarty.
