Edge EZ?

I'm finally getting close to buying a chip and am considering the Edge EZ for what I need. I'd love a Smarty but can't justify the money and am afraid I'd screw up the engine with that much power.

Realisticly, all I really need is mileage gain and about 100 more HP which will handle my trailer hauling tasks.

Any negs on the EZ?

Thanks

I went with the edge comp, so I could change settings in the cab. The Edge Attitude wasn't available at the time, i'd buy that now. The EZ with a set of the RV injectors make a nice and safe towing package IMHO.

Ez and Smarty are same hp increase BUT smarty gives you 1. Revo which is basically fine tuning, 2. speedo adjustment for larger tires and, 3. a code reader. Smarty's don't lose much value.

If you already have gauges I'd get an EZ for a inexpensive upgrade. I had one for a few years and had no issues. I upgraded to the Juice with Attitude so I had more gauges.

Yeah,a used EZ and some RV 275 Bosch injectors works real well.

Just an opinion but look at the TS MVP, I put one in my 02 and love it, more power than the EZ and in cab adjustable. When I keep my foot out of it and with occasional playing around I picked up 2mpg hand calculated.

I have considered the injectors, tooj just not in the budget as of right now. I should've bought the Smarty two years ago before the economy sucked me dry.

Who knows, I may experience a windfall! Thanks for the great advice guys!
