My truck has now thrown three CEL in the last week, but they are not permanently on. The CEL will be on for a day or so then turn off when sitting over night. I know what the CEL is doing but my question is what is P061A Level 2 Torque Perf mean. I Took the truck to the dealer to day to have the codes read and cleared. I found out I have the dreaded P2262, so the Turbo will be drilled and clean soon. Dealer order parts and will let me know when to bring the truck in. So after the warranty work the EGR may fall off some how. From what I understand this may contribute the most to the turbo sooting problem. I do drive with the exhaust brake on have done so from the first day I bought the truck. I try to get out once a week and drive over 50 MPH to heat up the DPF and to burn off the soot, but this did not help the Turbo. The truck has 13,300 miles on the OD. Thanks in advance.

 

I never had the P0061 code but I just had the P2262 code. I can tell you to have your dealer also check and clean the turbo boost sensor with the tubing coming ouf of the turbo to the sensor! I know the guys at the dealer were I took mine and they found crap (soot) in the line which could be the torque pref code. They drilled my turbo and cleaned it but forget the sensor with the tubing which within a day after the CEL came on. Of coruse they bought coffee when I took it back and it only took him about 1 hour to do. Just a FYI
