Help Please! Fuel Leak!

Well I installed my fp gauge, now I have a leak. Used a brass needle valve, and one other brass fitting. All the other stuff are race fittings from a local performance shop. I couldn't get a straight answer on thread lock, so I didn't use any. Should I have? Is there really a need for the needle valve? Any help would be great.

Pipe threads need to have dope on them, to prevent leaks. A valve is a good idea, in case of a leak anywhere, going to the gauge.

Where is the leak?

Between which part and which part, back of guage? or out of the needle valve itself?
