Help ME tst #8 OR Piers #10

Sorry to beat this again but I needed more specific info,
TST said there #10 has more torque than there #5 but less HP.
and I need to use a #8 for 230/605 with a stock tranny " in Real Good Shape" Piers list there #10 as 220/570 which is were I want to be with the stock tranny. also I read about moving the stock plate foreward which way is foreward towards the RAdiator
or the firewall? I have Boost Pyro Trans Gauge pod so I can watch it also with the piers kit does it come with the boost elbow.
I need a shopping list from some who knows!! Excuse my ignorance Im still learning. its a daily driver that sees little towing if any most of its work is to carry me around and off-road to a hunting camp trail is easy some Beach driving.
Educate me please,
Mike

TST developed the different plates. The owner is a retired Cummins Engineer. Personally, I'd be carefull of any plate bigger than a #8 in a stock automatic. It's pretty easy to slip the TC when it locks up if your into it hard, i.e. getting on the highway.

A #10 plate in an automatic is fine! All that you need to do is back if off from stock(15k or so) and then when you get your transmission done..move it back to stock of even forward a little. Yes the #10 can be very aggressive but thats the great thing about this plate ..it is tuneable!!!!

to slide the plate forward, is toward the radiator "away from the firewall"
just grind your plate to a 100#

Depending on the condition of your tranny, putting the #10 in the stock postion should be OK. This assuming you don't tow, or tow light. You will be able to slip the T/C lock-up clutch fairly easy, if not driven right.

Mine is in the stock position. Driven right, I don't slip it.
