Help with MBRP install?
Trying to put my 4" turbo back MRBP exhaust on my 02 Quadcab longbed. It says you should only have to cut the extension pipe for shorter wheelbase trucks. I have uninstalled and reinstalled 3 times this morning, and I can't seem to get everything far enough forward. Every rubber hangar is pulled to the back, and contacting the bracket that suspends the bushing. I'm seating the pipes best I can, tried lubing the ends, tried pulling tension with ratchet strap, tried mallet and wood block, can't move it forward. Anyone else have to cut a little off to fit a QC longbed?
Also, the downtube almost touches the firewall insulation, any problem with that?
thank you

yes, I had to remove about 1.5" from mine, on the 01.
That lined it up just perfectly.
I know that having to cut a pipe that nice hurts, but then again, they made it too long for a reason. Better to be looking AT the extra length, than looking FOR it.

Thanks for convincing me to sawzall my new exhaust. Fits great now. Finally stood up to see how the tip looks, and the snowplow/sand truck went by. Its snowing now, and I can already hear the rust forming.
