My truck is throwin these codes, intermittent dead pedal and is having the hard start issue after she's warmed up...235K on stock VP.

I have a lock-up switch so the first two are expected. The 0237 threw a CIL the other day but has gone away so I think it was a hiccup. I'm looking at VP's today...$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Can a Map sensor cause dead pedal? I replaced it a couple of years ago.

 

Have you tried resetting the apps? Mine was having the dead pedal issue, this took care of it.

 

Not yet. Can the APPS cause hard starts?

Yesterday I was going to put new contacts in my starter because sometimes I've been getting a "click" in the mornings and I discovered that my hot wire was loose. I tightened it and now the motor spins over quicker and so far I haven't had a hard start but this afternoon will be the test when its hot outside. I also didn't have any dead pedal this morning but I'm not getting my hopes up.

 

Loose wires can cause a hell of a mess sometimes.
