Help with choosing injectors

I want to run something by you all. I'm trying to decide what injector nozzles to buy.
My HP goal is 330-350, without big clouds of smoke just medium puffs.
Heres my 2 ideas.
1- 75hp nozzles @ $200+ 65hp smarty $650 together should = around 130hp+ 235hp stock engine should be around 350 hp for $850 right?
2- 125-150 hp nozzles @$300 + boost fooler $50-75 total about $400 Also should be around 350hp right?
So what do you think will injectors alone get me the advertised hp, or will adding 75hp injectors and 65 hp smarty add up as advertised?
I know the smarty on sw 9 will smoke badly but if I run it on 3,4,or5 it shouldn't smoke badly, and will just 125-150 hp injectors smoke like a train or will it be managable as a smarty on lower settings. Thanks in advance

If your goin with nozzles and dont want smoke your better off doin this. Get an edge comp (600 or use 400ish) and go with the 50 - 75 hp nozzles. Easy 350hp. I ran the 150 jammer nozzles for 2 weeks not bad pulled hard as he!! but smoked like no tomorro. Or you can go your smarty route and step up to mach 1.6s and, or the boost fooler and mach 4s. Those are the 3 options i would recomend.

I should have mentioned in first post I don't want to run timming box while towing. So any fuel, timing box would have to be adjustable. And I don't want to tap the pump wire.

Yes timing decreases egts at exhaust manifold, but what worries me is where is that heat going since its not out the exhaust. Only 2 places I can think of 1 cylinder wall to coolant not troubling, 2 piston to hopefully enough engine oil to properly cool it, if not cool enough well new engine time.

Well if you dont want to tap the pump wire you can go with the smarty and mach 1.6s or the edge ez and 1.6s and have you hp with minimal smoke. The smarty has timing too but it switchable on and off. The ez doesnt use the pump wire but it is a great towing box. Timing is a big effect on smoke. But if you deffinately dont want to tap the pump or use timing, go with the boost fooler and a set of mach 4s. That will get you what you need. Thats all there is too it.

How many hp are the mach1.6s, I know they are probably the best but, the money is more than I have, unless Don is selling just nozzles these days, Jammers are more the price I'm looking for. Are the mach 4s 150hp? Thanks

You won't be able to tow with a stock turbo and 125-150 sticks..... You truck will dyno around 200 RWHP stock, if you add true 75 HP injectors you should be around 275 and then go with a programmer/box to get the added power.

Doug your probably right on the 125-150hp sticks I was thinking allong the lines of the 325hp 3rd gens running an hy-35, thinking my hx-35 would support a little more. what about 100hp sticks will stock turbo be fine there.

My truck with F1 1.6's, stock turbo gated to 38psi(wastegate divider drilled), Smarty on #9, HRVP, and some other supporting mods dynoed 363/860 and is very towable.

Jed,

I see you are from Oklahoma.... I grew up out there in Wewoka. As for would the 100HP sticks work, maybe. Are you staying in OK or towing outside? Also how heavy do you tow? Towing on fairly flat land at lower altitudes is not normally a problem but going up mountains would be a problem.

Doug, Wewoka is west of Hennrietta? I've only been here 5 yrs so I stil have a ways to go till I can call myself Okie.
If i have to worry about where and how much I tow 100hp sticks are not for me. I was thinking if I needed to I would up grade turbo to a 35/40 hybrid. I no its old a tech, but Its something I can put together myself cheap.

I just got back from elk camp a week ago. This was my first time towing with the current listed mods. All I can say is wow. All kinds of power and no egt issues. There is a hill we have to pull comming home that usually has me down in 5th with my foot on the floor and lucky to get 50mph. This year pulled the hill in cruise at 60mph in 6th. Egts were about 1150.
Best part of the trip was my brother and dad ( both ford freaks). They started asking questions about what they would have to do to make their trucks pull like mine. I told them fordcummins.com

Jed,

Yea Wewoka is about 20 miles west down I-40 and then Souuth about 15 miles..... As for the sticks some brands do produce lower egt's than others for a given HP rating. The F1 injectors are the best out there in my opinion, the Mach 1.6 sounds like your best bet. These are true 85 RWHP injectors that were designed to be used with the OEM turbo. Going with a hybrid turbo would help a lot and allow for bigger injectors to be used.
