It has begun!
Well, I blew my head gasket last week...So, told the shop to go ahead and do the head studs at the same time. No sense in taking it apart again.....The major performance upgrades have begun!!!

If you didn't want to have it apart again I would have o-ringed it to be on the safe side.

how common is it to blow a head gasket with a set up like you have?

I have no clue...But it happened so had to get it done. I bought the truck used so I don't know what happened to it before.

If you are running just that fueling box them I would say pretty uncommon, make sure the shop puts a straight edge on the block and the head.

Very common if it's indeed an HO and has seen an aggressive timing box.
