H2 wheels on 3500?

Is anyone here running Hummer H2 wheels on there 3500? I have seen alot of pics on 2500's, but no 1 tons. The reason I ask is that I am using Dodge dana 60 knucles and unit bearings for the outers on my 8 lug axle conversion, but I am not sure if the larger 3500 calipers will clear the inside of H2 wheels. Is there anyone that has a measurement of how far, if at all, the caliper sticks out past the wheel mounting surface on the 3500's? I know the 2500 system is about 0.200 under the wheel mounting surface. All of my info is based on 2500 axles being the 7500# gvwr listing and 3500 being the 8800# gvwr listing. But it may be single rear wheel 7500# and dual rear wheel models 8800#? Any thoughts?

AKAIK, 3500 and 2500 front end parts are the same, with the exception that the 3500 has a bolt on spacer on the front.

The 7500# gvwr 2500 axle is a Dana 44 not a Dana 60, it was only used in V8 gas 2500s. The 8800# gvwr is the 2500 Dana 60. The 3500 will have a gvwr of 9500# or higher. The only difference between a 2500 and 3500 Dana 60 is the dually adapters on the 3500, the brake parts are the same.

Oh thats right, I forgot about the Dana 44 2500. I just got all tha parts for both GVWR's. All the 8800 stuff works fine in the front. I used the 7500 caliper with the 8800 pads and 99 Ford E250 c-clip Dana 60 rotors for my rear disc conversion. It was a good thing I grabed both sets, so I could mix and match for the rear. Thanks for the input.

Glad it worked out for you. What did you put the axles under?

There going under my 92 Jeep Comanche with a 93 4BTA/NV4500. The stock axles with chromo shafts and Detroit TruTrac differentials have worked good so far, but I think Im pushing the limits. http://s6.photobucket.com/albums/y23...PBash07009.flv
