Guages in pillar mount
Guages in pillar mount
When I put my guages in my pillar mount, they were loose, so I put electrical tape around them to snug them up. Now that is getting warm, the tape is moving, is there a better way? I also have a guage on the steering colume that is doing the same thing?
Thanks Bob

I tried the back part but it is too wide, I think the only way is by friction. I originally had a Banks kit and they told me to sand the holes with sand paper to make the guages fit tight, now the isspros' are too loose. The electrical tape worked well, it just doesn't like the heat.
Has anyone else had this problem?

Yes I switched from electrical tape to duct tape. Seemed to tolerate the heat better. Since it was thicker I did not have to go all the way around on mine and I left it wide enough so that it extended past the rear of the gauge about an 1/8 inch and sort of folded it over the back so that when I slid it in it couldn't catch the edge of the tape and move it while sliding it in.
