Governor spring kits
Hi all , i know this has be sayed before, i have looked for back threads ,, what i asking i got the 3k kit today, i was wondering, i have not done anything to the timing will it hurt installing the spring , or should i do it after i get the timing done, wich will be a long time becouse i cant find any one around me to do it ,
oh does any one used pro-loc converters, i went a looked at the shop that makes them and other trany stuff, i am inpressed, makes me want to get a truck with a auto in it thanks jman

I have not touched the timing on my truck yet and I have done the 3K GSk..and 3 other trucks besides mine. None of the others have had the timing changed so far. Runs great too! I have been able to do a set of springs in 1.5 hours and that is going down thru the throat of the pump.

I did the side and its very easy. I did not time myself but I'm sure it was under an hour to do the springs from the side. hardest part for me was the control arm on the fuel shutoff.

There is a couple of reasons that I do them from the top. One is that you dont get the oil all over the place..and two that is the way I learned to do them from Piers.
Either way that you do them...you end up with same results on your first drive
