Does anyone know how the motor acts when the governor springs are set to loose?

Usually will idle low, and not pull very far in the RPM band.

The truck pulls all the way to 4k but the idle was low and the trottle was very touchy and almost hard to drive. If you moved the trottle like an inch it would continue to climb all the way to 4k. The driving characteristics just aren't the same as before and was wondering what the problem could be. Thanks for the help guys.

Thats the way 4k's are, if you want it a lil less touchy loosen the springs some.

I installed my 4k and it drives the same as stock except less throttle required for 2500 rpms. No surging, sensitivity issues, nothin. And it will run 4k if i hold the auto in 2nd, thats hows i tested her out. Haven't seen that high an RPM since. I noticed if the springs are adjusted wrong to much idle adjustment will make the rpm's hang up, I guess do to the fact that it takes a quarter inch of throttle to cruise 50 mph. I had to tighten mine down a little past what the factory GSK was. I got it close with a digital caliper and went from there by runnin the truck every set of clicks.
