Question Governer Arm Adjustment ?????

My buddy has a 94 auto with a zero plate slid 3/4 of the way forward and afc housing slid all the way forward also the star wheel is loosend all the way forwards. his gov. arm dosnt touch the plate. Any advice on ajusting it???

if the arm is not reaching the plate at all then which way do you adjust the screw? in or out?

I think from the photos, you would need to back the screw out to tilt the lever back (up) to touch the plate.

Make sure the shutdown solenoid is pulled up into the run position then give it full throttle. Engine off of course.
The arm should then move forward enough to hit the plate.
