Glacier Fuel System install?
Glacier Fuel System install?
I just purchesed the glacier fuel system for my 99 2500. I am curious whats the install like? How much time does it take to do the install? Anything that I may have problems with?
If you purchased the one with the Walbro 392 electric pump,....
I installed mine a couple of weeks ago.
It took about 4 hours, have a short piece of fuel line with a bolt sealing it up handy when you cut the fuel line from the tank........or you'll be taking a diesel bath.
It would also help if you had less than a full tank like I did.
Read all the instructions through a couple of times.
All pieces needed are there, just need basic hand tools and sockets and a drill & bits.
A good small pipe cutter helps a buch too.

That's about it, pretty easy install. If you have a creeper that helps with the back time. The instructions on GDP's website are perfect. It took me about 3 hours start to finish. I boiled the fuel lines to make them easier to press on and I also used a pair of PVC cutters to cut the fuel filler neck for the return line and all rubber fuel hoses.

Good luck.

Good luck.
