so i had my trans rebuilt and i am using my bd valve body and pressure lok. everything worked good before the rebuild. now it shifts realy bad from 2nd to 3rd it seems to slip into neutral before it shifts to third. what is causing this and how do i fix it they said it wasnt the tv cable could it be a valve body adjustment

hi
might sound stupid but did you recheck your fluid level on LEVEL ground when warm with trany in N !
what are you using for fluid ? atf+4 only !!!
check your codes and post them, then erase them all and test drive it to see if any come back !

Maybe too much gap in the direct drum clutches or a bad seal.

If it's a Goerends tranny give Dave a call.
Also i know that he wants Dextron III in his tranny's. He sends a bottle of special trans additive with all his tranny's.

Just to reiterate what scottsjeeprolet has said, Dave has always told me to run either ATF+3 or ATF +4 if you want to shell out extra money, but he says you get the same performance with Dextron III + a bottle of Lubeguard (can be found at NAPA or Orielly's).

According to your sig you only have one of Daves torque converters. Doesn't say anything about Goerend Trans. Thanks Steve B.
