gear ratio

if im not doing any heavy towing with my truck,(its a city truck) whats the best gear ratio for me, im focused alot on mph and some on mpg at driving speeds

You may want to fill out your signature so we know what truck, equipment you have. If you don't have one, what year models are you considering?

Still though I think you've answered your own question. If you aren't focused on milage and don't do any heavy towing, you're going to want the higest gear ratio possible. 355's in a 2nd gen.

...or 3.73 if you go for a 3rd Gen truck. Either gear ratio will tow fine though.
