The tag from under my hood is missing. How can u tell what rear end and what gear ratio I have? Also my max speed in 5th is about 85mph

 

Larry<br>There should be a tag on your rear diff. It's held in place by one of the bolts that hold the rear diff. on. It has the gear ratio stamped on it. - or- My rear diff is a 3.54 and at 70mph in 5th I would turn about 1900 rpms with the Getrag. With my NV4500HD it's about 100 rpms less. Hey, sorry to get off topic but what are the ratios of the getrag in 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 anybody know?

 

Getrag (G360) gear ratios are:

1st = 5.531:1
2nd = 3.017:1
3rd = 1.60:1
4th = 1.00:1
5th = 0.77:1
Rev. = 5.029:1

if you can only go 85 either you've got a power problem or you have 4.10's. I've got 3.54's, some tweaks, and don't have a problem getting to the end of the speedometer

whoops, your 89 speedo only goes to 85 :P Mine goes to 100 and it'll get there, up to 90 is real easy tho
