Gauges

I was looking at adding gauges, since I tow heavy sometimes. I want to get some that match in the day time and night time i.e. white in the day black at night. The numbers dont have to match exactly. If anyone has a picture, that would be great. Thanks. Kyle

Hey Kyle!

You are right with the rest of us. Right now you've got two choices:

DiProcol white face - these are a decent match for the daytime, unfortunately, the nighttime lighting is terrible (IMHO).

IssPro EV black face with red pointers - decent nighttime match, and definitely better lighting than the DiProcol. Obviously though, the daytime match isn't quite there

Rod

Re:Gauges

Maybe Autometer will come out with the temp gauges in the new Lunar series. White face during the day, yet a green glow at night.

The 3 gauge a-pillar mount I have is an Autometer brand and I bought it here.
It looks just like that one. Mine has the speaker in it also..
Rod has gauge kits that are very nice also ;D

Right now I am looking at the Autometer Phantom Series. Anyone with these like to comment on how they like them. Kyle

Re:Gauges

While I don't have them in my truck, I have had them in several race cars. They work just as well as anything out there and look GREAT. I think they look great in old muscle cars!

Re:Gauges

I have the DiPricol white face in mine. You can see them in my album on page 11 or 12 cant remember. They look great. I do however have issues with the EGT at night. Cant read it at all. They came from EEP. I called dave and he said that they have a green LED in them and that the reason I have trouble is because the installer, (wont mention names) hooked it up wrong and left the white bulb in. Hence it blurs the vision at night. ARG!!!!!!!!! >

I need to call Dave back and find out more info on the green led.

Re:Gauges

The Dakota Digitals don't match to well during the day, but are almost dead on at night. The numbers are a teal color. Look pretty sweet.
