Gauge sender question

I am in the process of the putting the new style Diprical gauges (fuel pressure, trans, pyro) on my sig truck. My question is where would be the best place to put the trans sender-in the pan or right before the heat exchanger? I'm afraid if I pull the pan to drill out for the sender I will be tempted to spend more money for a heavy duty valve body and a shift kit. I am slowly getting the truck ready for a Edge EZ or Van Aiken box. My thinking is I can put the sender on the trans line for now then later when I have the money for the trans upgrade I can put another one in the pan and plug the one in the line. What would ya'll do?

I would tap the line to the cooler. That way there is less permenant mods and you get a flow of fluid past the sender. If you tap the pan where there is a stagnant (relatively) area the temp would be off.
