Lot's of options to choose from do you want a in bed type ?? or a underbed type ?? a big capacity tank ??

Northern tool has some tool box tanks along with alot of farm stores that carry aux tanks.....I have a in bed 100 gal tank that I bought from TSC farm store.....heres a link to give you some idea's about tanks

Re:Fuel Tank

The Northern Tool one's are just the tank. You have to do all the plumbing.

The Transferflow comes as a kit. All the parts, pumps, hoses, etc. Also, the transferflow has a fuel management system with it. It automatically transfers fuel for you so you don't have to play with a switch.

American tank http://www.auxtank.com has a system that is just like the one in a phurd I had. You flip a switch and the guage reads the aux tank and flips a valve.

As for the under body types, transferflow has those also along with Aero Tanks http://www.aeortanks.com.

Hope this helps as I'm trying to decide whick way I'm going also.

Re:Fuel Tank

These tanks are not cheap....my 100 gal tank was mounted in the bed with a simple gate valve on the bottom out port and I just plumbed it into my tank filler tube....this works as long as you dont forget to turn it off before the truck tank is full....and fuel will gel in these tanks when its cold unless you have a blend or use anti-gel

It takes awhile to get a pay back for a $500.00 tank investment but have found its nice to carry 135 gals of fuel when making a 2500 mile trip I have found buying fuel in a state with cheaper fuel prices can save me .40 cents a gal

It is the lowboy set up for dragging the fiver. Tank is 45 gallon. Nice quality diamond plate, baffled, the whole enchilada. It runs about $600. You can either install it gravity feed which is quite easily done. Or, you can install it with a switch over device. RDS sells that install kit for $240. You could then install it yourself. Their switch over is similar to that used in most motorhomes. You draw on which ever tank is selected. The fuel gauge of the truck will read the tank selected (if you chose to hook it up that way). When you switch over, the selected tank then starts drawing down and the guage reads the selected tank.

RDS Technologies - - Ask for Bobby - - 1-850-584-6898

If you wish to see the installation, check out my pics in the member picture section. Re:Fuel Tank

FiverBob:
I had the 115 gallon RDS tank installed last week. They installed the electric switch over valve, which works fine, but they could not get the fuel guage to work on the auxilliary tank. Apparently the sending unit voltage does not match up with the 03 Dodge guage. They are still talking with the supplier and other installers, trying to get something that will work.
I'm wondering if you were able to hook your tank to a guage?
BobbyG

You can buy it directly from RDS.

Bobby G.
I have been slothful in completing the install on the switchover. I am still running on the gravity feed. Soon :P :P
Glad to know about the fuel guage. I was thinking of running by the plant and have them complete it. I have to go up that way in a couple weeks. Have it done right. Maybe they will have the problem worked out by then.

Bob
