This weekend I installed an edge juice with attitude tuner in my truck. I have the display set with a fuel pressure gauge, egt, throttle position, and boost. anything over 30% throttle, the fuel pressure drops to 10 or less. If I have the tuner on 3 or up, forget it, I cant even touch passed 25%. the Fass drp pump is pretty new, maybe 2 months old. I had a post on here with an issue I had when it was first installed. At any rate, I called Fass and they said it was because of the temp outside (New England, hasn't really gotten passed 50 degrees in a while) and that the pump isn't designed to work with a tuner at all... I'm a little confused by this. Edge designed that tuner on a stock dodge, no? So I listened, I turned the tuner all the way down (still have the smarty tuner on though) with the edge at "0", I still get a low fuel pressure alarm (10 or less psi) if I go passed 30% throttle. Normal? am I getting a runaround story from Fass? or does this tuner need an air dog or similar fuel system?

 

I don't think the FASS DRRP is rated for more than stock power. If it is engine mounted it is pulling fuel 6 feet before it can pressure it up.

IIRC you need at least 90GPH for some applications and the EDGE may be one of them...I have the 90GPH mounted at the tank and have 16 psi at idle and no less than 10 opened up.
$500 is cheaper than a new vp...

Dumb question, but is your fuel filter new/clean?

 

very true. thanks. the temp has warmed up a little bit here and the fuel pressure drop is not as bad as before. the past few days it has been over 40 and its running a lot better. thanks for the advice!!
