fuel pressure

i moved my stock lift pump to the frame rail and it was fine for about a year but now it says im around 5 lbs at wot and 10 at idle is this hard on my VP? should i get a new one?

Your numbers are right on the boarder of being bad. What were they before. have you changed the fuel filter receintly...

If I were you, I'd be wanting 10psi min @ WOT. W/the holley, I'm at 19idle/15WOT.

im running about the same psi. right now. i think im gonna order the Fass ddrp but my funds are a little limited right now i know i'm pushing it.

by the way where is your fuel psi. gauge tied in at mine is right on the injection pump i don't know if that matter at all or not??

mine is in the same spot, i ran the fuel strait to the gauge so it should be accurate. the pump is only a year old, i shouldn't have problems with it already should i ?

same here fuel is straight to the gauge + a 100-watt red "idiot" light if I don't see the gauge which would turn on at <5psi.

i think the danger zone is 3 psi if i remember from my shop manual, so i may just leave it alone maybe just change the fuel filter soon

3 psi is way too low! 5 psi is as well.

Not to mention most trucks start losing mileage under 7psi.

My last one lasted about 13 months. If i was you i would just skip the holley and go straight to an Airdog or similar pump. I didn't really need that much lift pump, but by the time i added up all the hassles (holley's and carters) it would have just been easier and cheaper to go to the AD with the warranty. Just my 2 cents

i have heard pretty good about the Fass DDRP also it istalls in the same location and fitting as the carters but puts out 33% more fuel ordered mine on Sunday waiting for it to get here hoping it works as stated asked a couple people who have them very satisfied with them no less than 9 psi. at WOT thats good for me??? only about $250 also!!!
