fuel pressure

what kind of fuel pressure should i be looking for to keep everything working good

If you have at least 7-8psi wide open, you're good to go, imo.

at idle you should see anywhere from 12-15 psi ( if you have a stock lift pump ) wot no less than 5 psi

Agreed with Justin H.
If I remember correctly....on factory lift pump.... idle at 12 psi, cruise around 10 and WOT 7-8. I never liked going below 7 psi, to help protect the somewhat fragile Injector Pump.
As you add hp these #'s will drop and you will need to augment!
