Fuel in the oil????

So i just installed my new injectors and everything went real smooth. The truck runs fine my only problem is that I think that my oil level has raised. I cant smell any fuel in it. I dont know if it really has or my head playing tricks on me. If there was fuel in the oil wouldnt I be able to smell it or I put a few drops on a paper towel and I cant see any. What do you guys think

Pull the valve cover off and run the engine, look for fuel coming out of the injectors. You've got a leaky o-ring somewhere.

Yep it would smell like diesel, or send in a sample for testing, if its diesel they will find it.. locally here oil sample kits are 18-22 each depending where you buy them (Amsoil/cummins/Finning)

I just read something in another thread about delivery tube o-rings. Could these be the problem, I didnt pull them out when I did the injectors just pulled the lines off and pried the delivery tubes out 1/4 inch or so and droped int the injectors and turned them slightly until i could feel the tubes push into place

well make sure there is fuel in there first, i read somewhere u could put a drop of fuel on a paper towl and let it soke in and if theres a light ring around then dark oil spot, like a notesable ring, then u have diesel in your oil

You probably have a crossover tube that is either torn or broken, they seem to get brittle with age. Get six new ones and try them their pretty cheap.

A leaky crossover shouldn't be letting fuel into the oil, since its the o-ring on the injector body that seals the fuel return passage in the head from the valvetrain. No?
